Our television station is going to England April 1-15 to gather stories that will air during the Olympics. We want to do a story on England's roundabouts and would like to interview some of the people featured in the film. Can you please contact me. Thanks.

This reminds me of a book I've used with my 6-7-year-old students called The Big Orange Splot. Check it out.

What a shame! But I love the idea of the book being gobbled up on Christmas, before the cheese that is.
As for hearing more, the Lincoln Art Programme people said they'd put up a podcast on their website. But, as far as I can tell, that hasn't happened.
I'm sure I'll be doing another eccentrics talk over the summer. So keep checking my talks page and I'll try to drop you a line when I find out that I'm doing one.

I'm really annoyed, I live in Lincoln and wanted to come to your talk but I was working away... I'm glad you like Lincoln. I do too. Well now I avoid it after 8pm I do... Are you doing any more talks? My friend bought me your bookfor christmas which I'd read even before the christmas cheese had been scoffed (I only have cheese at christmas). Anyway, I would like to have heard more. Can I?

Thanks for this as well. In Together I talk about Hodge Hill in Birmingham, and just how accurate (or not) it may be to call that area a community. Will look up Angus McCabe's work.

Do take a look at Howard Newby's 1970s/80s work - The rural community does not exist; it is a community of communities.....your model making societies, bands etc. suggest e.g. 'The Countryside in Question' (1988) and my own 'Another Country: Real Life Beyond Rose Cottage (1993)
